• Function

1.Level Sensing: A float attached to a lever arm rides on the fuel surface. As the fuel level changes, the float moves up or down, rotating the arm and varying the resistance of an internal potentiometer (rheostat).

2.Signal Transmission: This variable resistance is converted into an electrical signal (usually a voltage or resistance value) that is sent to the fuel gauge or vehicle control module. The gauge then translates this signal into a visual indiion of the fuel level (e.g., “E” to “F”).

3.Fuel Low Warning: When the fuel level drops below a certain threshold, the sender's signal triggers the low fuel warning light on the dashboard, alerting the operator to refuel.

4.Anti-Surge Design: Some models include anti-surge baffles or damping mechanisms to prevent false readings caused by fuel sloshing during acceleration, braking, or cornering.
